Physics Projects on Laser, Semiconductor, AC Generator, Logic Gates in Physics




A gate is defined as a digital circuit which follows some logical relationship between the input and output voltages. It is a digital circuit which either allows a signal to pass through as stop, it is called a gate.

The Logic Gates are building blocks at digital electronics. They are used in digital electronics to change on voltage level (input voltage) into another (output voltage) according to some logical statement relating them.

Laser is a process by which we can obtain a beam of light which is highly coherent, highly monochromatic and perfectly parallel.

The first successful laser was constructed by T.H. Maiman in 1960.

He used a small Ruby Rode known as Ruby Laser. May others have

also been constructed e.g. Helium-Neon Laser, Carbon dioxide laser

etc.

A.C. Generator is a device which is used to convert the mechanical energy in to electrical energy is called electric generator.

Principle of A.C. Generator

It is based on the principle of electro magnetic induction. When a coil rotated about on axis perpendicular to the direction of uniform magnetic field, an induced e.m.f. is produced across it.


Semiconductors are the materials whose electrical conductivity lies in between metals and insulator. The energy band structure of the semiconductors is similar to the insulators but in their case, the size of the forbidden energy gap is much smaller than that of the insulator.
